Exercise and Sleep Medications
Insomnia is a common problem, and while there are a number of different treatments, many of them can cause grogginess the following day. Ambien (zolpidem), Sonata (eszopiclone), Lunesta (zaleplon), Desyrel (trazodone), and Restoril (temazepam) are examples of medications that can cause grogginess. Be careful if you exercise after taking these. You might need to speak with your doctor about changing medication if these are causing problems with your exercise.
Remember: before starting an exercise program, talk with your doctor first.
