Exercise to De-Stress

While stressful, the holidays can and should still be enjoyed.  To make the most of the time will take some effort to reduce your stress.  You can’t always change your circumstances, but by following some wise advice, you can rescue your holidays from the grip of stress.

First, exercise.  If you are already an exerciser, keep it up.  If you don’t exercise, start doing something (after talking with you physician first).  Walking is great exercise, and you can bring along a family member or friend to enjoy their companionship.  Plus, it can get you out into the environment to enjoy holiday decorations.  Regular exercise helps to elevate mood, and improves sleep.  If you think you don’t have time to exercise, make time for it.  Start managing your time more wisely - we’ll talk more about that soon.
