Pillars of Health 5: Positive Emotions

Emotions are something we all have, and they are generally either positive and pleasurable or negative and painful.  As previously mentioned, we want to focus more on the positive than the negative.  For some this is easy, for others not so much.  Some of the most common positive emotions include joy, gratitude, serenity, hope, amusement, inspiration, awe, and love.  For those people that deliberately look for those activities or perspectives that are likely to bring about these positive emotions are more resilient in the face of stress.  Tomorrow, I’ll give you some examples of some habits that help to cultivate a positive psychology.
