Pillars of Health 5: Past, Present, and Future

In keeping with the theme of positive emotions, it is important to stay in the moment, but not forget our past nor neglect our future.  When looking back, it is helpful for us to have attitudes of forgiveness for others and ourselves, gratitude, and satisfaction in what we’ve achieved.  In the present, it is helpful to savor our moments as we might a tasty bite of food, and to feel true contentment even while looking forward to future.  Regarding the future, it is good for us to look forward with hope and optimism.  Regarding hope, I don’t mean it in the sense of wishing, but rather with the idea of confident expectation.
