Exercise and Medication

For all of us, regular exercise can be considered medicine.  It can help to control many diseases, which may lessen the need for medication.  Knowing this, regular exercisers need to watch for any indicators that they may need to reduce doses of medication.  There are also potential side effects of medication that may be exacerbated by medication.  In the coming days, we’ll talk about some classes of medications and how exercise might affect the people that take them.

Remember: before starting an exercise program, talk with your doctor first.
