Exercise and Mental Health

Regular exercise also has significant benefit on mental health.  People who exercise regularly have fewer mental health issues.  For people with mild depression or anxiety, exercise can be as effective as therapy or medication, and the exercise comes with far more benefits than the other two.  One study even showed that short bursts of high intensity exercise was 1.5 times more effective than medication for mild to moderate depression!

Remember: before starting an exercise program, talk with your doctor first.
