Pillars of Health: Exercise

We just spent a couple weeks talking about the benefits of exercise, so I’ll be brief here. We know that regular exercise reduces risk of heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, diabetes, and dementia, the most concerning chronic diseases we face. It also reduces the risk of bone density loss, and is helpful in mitigating symptoms of depression and anxiety. Regular exercises also maintain a higher level of physical function as they age. Ultimately, the best thing you can do for your health is to start exercising, and make a daily habit for the rest of your life.

Remember: before starting an exercise program, talk with your doctor first.Remember: before starting an exercise program, talk with your doctor first.
