Chronic distress, the type of stress that is bad for us, has a lot of negative effects in our lives.  Most of us have experienced times in our lives where we were stressed for an extended period.  During that time, we likely felt irritable, depressed, or anxious.  We didn’t sleep well, and our relationships with others suffered.  In addition to these effects, we also see physical and chemical effects in the body.
