Know Yourself

Fifth, check in with yourself.  By this, I mean that we should take a moment to identify how we may be feeling.  Am I angry, sad, frustrated, hopeful?  We all have the ability to ignore our emotional state while pursuing some goal, but that isn’t always healthy.  Eventually, those emotions declare themselves.  It’s a good emotion, like happiness, no one will object, but if it’s anger that comes bubbling to the surface, that’s a different story.  When we take the time to identify how we’re feeling, we can take actions to help avoid those uncomfortable or outright painful moments that benefit no one.
