Plenty of Time

Patients often feel rushed once they sit down with their doctor.  This is a consequence of traditional clinics having 1,800 to 2,200 patients per physician, which means appointment times are generally 10-20 minutes.  While the shorter appointments are a necessity in traditional clinics, patients don’t have any fewer issues to discuss.  This either leads to appointments being rushed, or patients being told they can only discuss a couple different issues.  Some physicians will just take the extra time, but then this leads to longer wait times in the waiting room or the exam room.  In concierge clinics, like my own, patients don’t feel rushed, because they have 30 or 60 minute appointments, depending on their needs. There is plenty of time to address all the patient’s concerns without affecting other appointments.
